If you haven’t thought of one yet, it’s time to consider putting together a financial information security strategy for you, your family and your business.
Here are a few tips:
- If your not planning on opening any new credit accounts for a while, turn on your credit freeze for you and your business.
- Put your hand-held computer (your cell phone) to better use and monitor your bank transactions either directly on your banks website or ask if your bank has notification services. The ladder would be preferable. Do not auto save your user name and password to your banking website.
- Turn off, better yet, delete P2P software on your systems. That may be easier said then done. You may need to communicate with your family(or share a Youtube video), about the hidden dangers of P2P networks that lead to private information in your ‘My Documents’ directory. At the very least, create a separate file sharing folder and share only that folder.
